Last night during dinner our 7 year old son said a girl in his 3rd grade classmate and best friend had asked him to be her boyfriend during recess to which he happily responded, "Yes." His mom then asked him what the difference was between a best friend and a girlfriend. To which my son responded, "You care about and respect a girlfriend more."
